Uh oh. Moving time.
No, not from my house. I plan to stay settled here for a long while…
I’m moving my site. Tumblr has been good to me, but I think there is better options. More functional ones.
Here goes nothing!
Part 1 of the Derek Boogaard story →
Derek was one of my favorite NHL players. Yes, because he was an enforcer. I was pretty depressed to hear of his death in the summer, even though I never met him. Amazingly well written look into his life… I highly recommend taking the time to read it.

Twitters popularity in professional sports (Video) →
Great video discussing the popularity of twitter amongst professional athletes. Interesting to hear some of their takes on it! I personally like BizNasty’s “I needed computer help and got it!”… followed by Barkley’s “if you wake up and want to know what I’m doing, you’re a loser!”.

What a week it has been… and we are only going into Wednesday!
I am on fire. I’ve been getting up feeling amazing, eating well, hitting the gym and accomplishing every single thing I put my mind to. Nothing stands in my way of my goals.
I ran 2.5km yesterday & 3.0km today. It felt great. I also threw in a ton of weights. It was great too since Danielle has been joining (and...

This will be my first 10k race ever. I’m excited, and nervous at the idea of running 10k outside in the cold. Hopefully the weather will cooperate!
Goals! Now bring on November.
October. October was an amazing month. I helped run the World Outdoor Ball Hockey Championships. The woman of my dreams moved in with me. I celebrated birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, you name it. I worked harder than ever before & have been refining my ability to lay out my goals and accomplish them. October was a lot of fun. November on the other hand is going to take my down a different...

Ups, downs and in between.
What a hectic month and a half it has been. September is a distant blur, and the first half of October has been a write off. I helped run the World Outdoor Ball Hockey Championships in Barrie last weekend. It was a great time. In addition to my tournament related duties I was the events live blogger. It was intense. I was updating multiple blogs, web sites, twitters and facebooks. I really had no...

5 Accomplishments
I’m having trouble getting going this morning. I am motivated, but dragging my ass. I feel beat down. So, to put myself into a positive mind set I’m going to list out what I’ve done right this week!
1) Continued to drop weight. Down to 265lbs from my starting weight of 323lbs. I can’t believe I am walking with almost 60lbs less fat on myself. Every time I lift a weight I...

A great read from Cuban’s blog discussing his life and what it took to compete in business. I wish I could shadow this man for a week.

A great article about Landsberg’s depression, Wade Belaks struggles and seeking help when you need it! It’s long but it is worth the read.

My Journey Continues
August has been one hell of a month. I went into it knowing that at the end I would feel like I was swept through a tornado. With September showing its ugly head in a few short days I cannot believe how fast the month went by.
I learned a few things though…
1) Falling off the gym bandwagon is easy. The high you get from running in the morning is quickly replaced by coffee and other...

Bouncing back.
I feel GREAT. I’ve only been back on my “diet” for 3 days and I already feel my energy and focus improving. I woke up without an issue today, have been more productive than ever & I feel GREAT! I hit the gym on Friday and I did not make it to 7k. I made it to 4 and a bit. Still, it was great to run again. I’ll be back at the gym again tomorrow morning. I am starting to...
I'm going to ride my bicycle across this plateau.
I hit a plateau. Luckily, even for “falling off the wagon” I was smart enough in my eating to maintain a weight of 279.0lbs. I’ve gone for a couple of runs. I’ve played hockey a few times. It just hasn’t been the same.
I’ve been using the excuse “I’m too busy”. That turned into “I need more sleep”. That became “I don’t...
