Goals! Now bring on November.
October. October was an amazing month. I helped run the World Outdoor Ball Hockey Championships. The woman of my dreams moved in with me. I celebrated birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, you name it. I worked harder than ever before & have been refining my ability to lay out my goals and accomplish them. October was a lot of fun. November on the other hand is going to take my down a different path.
Work is going to take me out of town every other week. I’ll be working in my hometown of Barrie though, which I cannot wait to do! I have a ton of new responsibilities & opportunities opening up which excites me. November is going to be about crunching down on work and making the most of these opportunities! I’m excited to also have the opportunity to take on a huge web project… it is going to be one hell of a challenge.
November is also going to be about running. I want to get to a 25 minute 5k, and successfully run 10k twice. I have had a nagging leg injury I should get looked at, but regardless I want to spend a lot of time at the gym running. I crave the “meditative” state it creates. I will also continue with my weight routine. Already seeing results is an excellent motivation.
Finally, with all the time I will be spending out of town (translation - nothing to do when not at work) I plan to get back into reading. A lot. I’ve bought a few books on management I’d like to get through, and the new Steve Jobs biography looks fascinating.
It will also be fun to go about all of this with a rockin’ mustache. I will be shaving down tomorrow morning to celebrate Movember.
23 more hours to enjoy October, then bring on a month of success!
Goals for November
- Work hard. Work smart. Accomplish and exceed every goal I set for myself.
- Run 5k in 25m. Run 10k twice. By the end of the month.
- Finish my two books on management. Also, read Steve Jobs biography.
